Bangkok has emerged as one of the most favoured tourist destinations in south-east Asia.
Bangkok has a tropical monsoon climate and holds claim to being the hottest city in the world. The best time to visit Bangkok is between November to March (Christmas and New Year time). There’s a reason to visit Bangkok in April because of the Songkran festival (Water throwing festival or Thai New Year).

Winter – November to March

Language
English is fairly widely understood and spoken in most tourist areas of Bangkok. German, Swiss Italian, and increasingly Japanese and Russian are also spoken in most hotels.

Standard time zone: UTC/GMT +7 hours.
Do not litter. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is now strictly enforcing the law in an effort to keep the city clean and healthy. The fine (maximum 2,000 Baht) will be imposed on a person who spits, discards cigarette stubs or drops garbage in public areas.
Thailand is a Buddhist country, all Buddha statutes are held very sacred. Indecent religious acts are liable to be punished by imprisonment although done by foreigners.
